Find out currently opened ports using CurrPorts v1.35
CurrPorts is a small software that can detect and display a list of all currently opening TCP/IP and UDP ports on your local computer. This software is simple and quick-it can be executed directly from your USB stick- it does not need any installation process or additional DLLs.
In order to understand the functionality of the application, just take a look at the screen shot. In addition to the port information, it can also display the information of the process that opened the port. This includes the name of the process, full path of the process, version information of the process (product name, file description, etc…), starting time of the process and the user who started the process.
More features of CurrPorts:
- It can close unwanted TCP connections
- Can kill the process that opened the ports
- Save the TCP/UDP ports information to HTML file, XML file, or to tab-delimited text file.
- Automatically mark with pink color suspicious TCP/UDP ports owned by unidentified applications (Applications without version information and icons)
System requirements:
Operating system: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista
- Windows NT : Install psapi.dll in your system32 directory before using the software
- You can use this software in older versions of Windows (98/ME) too. But the process information for each port won’t be displayed.
